Ever wanted to step inside a beautiful Van Gogh painting? This fall, we’ll all be able to do just that!

San Antonio joins a list of other top cities like New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco to attract the “Immersive Van Gogh” exhibition. Starting Nov. 18 in a downtown location yet to be announced, Vincent Van Gogh’s most famous works, “Starry Night,” “Sunflowers,” “The Bedroom” and “The Potato Eaters,” as well as many others, will be brought to life, using 60,600 video frames totaling 90,000,000 pixels and 500,000+ cubic feet of projections.

The paintings will be presented in a way that shows how Van Gogh originally saw the scenes, based on moving landscapes and active life that he turned into art.

This show will sell out, so head on over to goghsanantonio.com now to purchase tickets in advance. They start at $39.99. The show also has planned runs in Austin, Dallas and Houston. Masks are required and social distancing will be followed, with circles projected on the floor acting as markers for movement.

In honor of the beauty of our city, I’m ranking the upcoming Immersive Van Gogh No. 77 in my 300 Reasons to Love San Antonio list. Another great reason to live, work, buy a home and enjoy the specialness of San Antonio.
