How lucky are we to have an incredible museum just for the kiddos, and one that wants them to enjoy ringing in the new year as much as we do? Many thanks to The DoSeum for hosting its Kids Countdown on New Year’s Eve – at noon! What a great idea! The event begins at 10 a.m. and features a ball drop, DJ, face painting, jet packs, space treats from Bakery Lorraine, Maybelle’s Donuts and Cheesy Jane’s – and even Caferros Coffee and Brew’s Lee Tea for the grownups.

In honor of our city’s 300th anniversary, I’m ranking The DoSeum’s Noon Year’s Eve Kids Countdown #19 on my 300 Reasons to Love San Antonio list.

Get your tickets now as this event always sells out. $15 for kids; $25 for adults.

The DoSeum is a fun and fascinating place where San Antonio kids can create, make, build, invent, discover, think, dream and do. It’s a laboratory for children and a gathering place for parents, teachers, caregivers and the community – a premier setting for learning through exploration. It’s where playing and learning become best friends.

Another great reason to live, work – raise a family – and retire in San Antonio!
