Fall home sales tend to trend toward the sluggish – but not here in Alamo City! We’re at a record high when it comes to San Antonio home sales at this time of the year.

According to our friends at the San Antonio Board of Realtors, we sold 2,725 homes in September, a 9 percent boost over this time last year. Our average and median sale prices are on the rise, too. Our average sales price is up 5 percent to $270,147 and our median is up 6 percent to $237,200. 

Around 33 percent of our homes sold last month were priced under $200,000. The majority, 61 percent, were priced between $200,000 and $500,000. The rest of the homes sold were priced above $500,000.

In terms of Texas real estate overall, the average home price is up 3.6 percent to $292,126 and the median is up 5.6 percent to $244,990 – making San Antonio among the most affordable cities in the state.
