Happy New Year! We are well into 2019 – and the incredible momentum behind the real estate market shows no signs of stopping. In fact, according to Lawrence Yun, the Chief Economist at our National Association of Realtors, “Housing remains our nation’s best and safest wealth builder over the long term.”

I absolutely agree. Prices here in San Antonio are continuing to move right up. The limited number of homes on the market – and the number of days they last before folks snap them up – continues to favor sellers.

There’s simply no better time than the present to put your home on the market and start looking for the next place to call your own.

Last year was an incredible year for San Antonio real estate. The average sales price is now $259,571 – a 4 percent increase from this time last year. The median price is up 5 percent to $225,600. Average price per square foot is now hovering around the $120 mark.
Even though prices have risen, CNBC ranks us in their top 10 affordable cities list. Three other Texas cities made the cut, as well: Dallas, El Paso and Houston. Texas real estate continues to be a smart investment.
